

Kien Mac is a Vietnamese cinematographer based in Toronto and a 2025 graduate of Humber Polytechnic’s Film and Media Production program. His work has been showcased at the TIFF 48-Hour Film Festival, with short films Decoy Doll (2023) and Undertow (2024).

With a strong background in documentary and music video cinematography, Kien thrives on the creativity and fast problem-solving required for independent filmmaking. He has collaborated as a cinematographer on multiple projects for Toronto-based artists, including Young Vivid, Malonethechemist, Quincy Jun, and Maxesvyry. His documentary work includes upcoming short Wrestling With Life (TBD), which follows Canadian wheelchair rugby Paralympian Shayne Smith.

Beyond indie filmaking, he has gained valuable industry experience as a production assistant at Frank Content Productions, contributing to commercial projects for brands such as Taco Bell, Kraft Foods, and First Onsite.
